The Competitive Intelligence module is a dedicated tool for head-to-head brand comparisons across AI platforms — separate from your main GSEO project dashboard.

When to Use It

Use Competitive Intelligence when you need a focused, standalone comparison between specific brands. It's ideal for:

  • Pre-launch research — How does AI position your brand vs. the incumbent before a product launch?
  • Pitch preparation — Build a competitive analysis for a client presentation
  • Quick checks — Fast comparison without setting up a full project
  • Market exploration — Understand a new category before committing to ongoing monitoring

For ongoing brand monitoring with historical trends and action plans, use a GSEO Project instead.

Creating a Comparison

  1. Navigate to Competitive Intel in the sidebar
  2. Click New Comparison
  3. Fill in the details:

Each comparison produces detailed breakdowns:

Share of Voice

What percentage of AI mentions go to each brand. Visualized as a pie chart and ranked list.

Sentiment Comparison

How positively each brand is described by AI platforms. Includes positive/neutral/negative distribution for each brand.

Recommendation Frequency

How often each brand is actively recommended (not just mentioned) by AI platforms.

Positioning Language

The specific words and phrases AI platforms use to describe each brand. Reveals how AI frames your brand vs. competitors.

Platform Breakdown

Per-platform results showing which AI models favor which brands. Useful for identifying platform-specific opportunities.

Strengths & Weaknesses

AI-identified competitive advantages and vulnerabilities for each brand, based on the analysis data.
