Analysis Configurations

Analysis Configurations

A configuration defines exactly what EYE analyzes and how. Each project can have multiple configurations, allowing you to monitor the same brand across different markets, languages, or product lines.

What Is a Configuration?

A configuration is a complete analysis setup that specifies:

  • Which brand to monitor (can differ from the project-level brand)
  • Which keywords to analyze
  • Which competitors to track
  • Which AI platforms to query
  • Which language and country to use

Creating a Configuration

Inside your project, click New Configuration and fill in:

FieldRequiredDescriptionExample
Target brandYesThe specific brand/product to monitor"Sensodyne"
KeywordsYesSearch terms and topics"sensitive toothpaste", "best toothpaste"
CompetitorsYesBrands to compare against"Colgate", "Crest", "Oral-B"
AI PlatformsYesWhich AI models to queryChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity
LanguageYesLanguage for AI queriesEnglish
CountryYesMarket contextUnited States

Configuration Locking

⚠️

Configurations lock after the first analysis run. This is by design — it ensures data consistency across your time series. If you change keywords or competitors mid-stream, your historical comparisons become meaningless.

If you need different settings:

  • Create a new configuration within the same project
  • The new configuration starts fresh with its own run history
  • Your old configuration's data remains intact

Multiple Configurations

Use multiple configurations to:

Use CaseConfiguration AConfiguration B
Multi-marketSensodyne — US, EnglishSensodyne — Germany, German
Multi-productSensodyne (toothpaste)Parodontax (gum care)
Different competitorsvs. Colgate, Crestvs. Elmex, Meridol
Platform focusChatGPT + Claude onlyAll 4 platforms

Configuration vs. Project Brand

The project has a target brand (typically the parent company), and each configuration also has a target brand (the specific product). EYE always uses the configuration's brand for analysis:

  • Project brand: "Haleon" (parent company)
  • Config A brand: "Sensodyne" (product)
  • Config B brand: "Parodontax" (different product, same company)

This means your dashboard always shows data for the specific product you're monitoring, not the parent company.

Selecting a Configuration

In the dashboard, use the configuration dropdown in the top-right header to switch between configurations. Each configuration has its own independent:

  • GSEO Score and metrics
  • Competitive analysis
  • Run history and trends
  • Action Plan
