Running an Analysis

Once your configuration is set up, you're ready to run your first GSEO analysis. This page explains what happens during an analysis run and how to get the most out of it.

Starting a Run

  1. Open your project and navigate to the Runs tab
  2. Make sure the correct configuration is selected in the dropdown
  3. Click Run Analysis

What Happens During a Run

EYE performs several steps automatically:

1. Prompt Generation

Based on your keywords, competitors, category, and personas, EYE generates hundreds of relevant prompts that simulate real user queries. These cover:

  • Informational queries — "What is [product category]?"
  • Comparison queries — "Compare [your brand] vs [competitor]"
  • Transactional queries — "Best [product] to buy"
  • Navigational queries — "Is [brand] good for [use case]?"
  • Problem-solving queries — "How to fix [problem your product solves]"

2. AI Platform Querying

All prompts are sent to your selected AI platforms simultaneously. Each platform processes the queries independently, producing its own set of responses.

3. Response Analysis

Every AI response is analyzed for:

  • Brand mentions — Which brands appear and how often
  • Position — Where each brand appears in the response (1st, 2nd, 3rd...)
  • Sentiment — Positive, neutral, or negative language about each brand
  • Quality — How detailed and accurate the information is
  • Citations — Which sources and websites are referenced
  • Price positioning — How the AI positions each brand's pricing tier
  • Intent classification — What type of query triggered the response

4. Score Calculation

All extracted data is aggregated to calculate:

  • Your GSEO Score (overall and per component)
  • Share of voice across all brands
  • Competitive positioning metrics
  • Journey stage performance
  • Content gap identification

5. Insight Generation

EYE generates:

  • Strategic alerts about significant findings
  • Recommendations based on your data
  • Trend analysis (if you have previous runs)

Run Duration

A typical analysis takes 2-5 minutes depending on:

  • Number of AI platforms selected (more platforms = longer)
  • Number of keywords (more keywords = more prompts)
  • Number of competitors (more competitors = more comparison queries)
  • AI platform response times (varies by platform load)

Run Frequency

We recommend running analyses weekly or bi-weekly to build meaningful trend data. More frequent runs give you better trend resolution; less frequent runs conserve your monthly allowance.

FrequencyBest For
DailyActive campaigns, crisis monitoring
WeeklyStandard brand monitoring
Bi-weeklySteady-state tracking
MonthlyLong-term trend analysis

Scheduling

You can schedule recurring analysis runs from the Runs tab. Set a frequency and EYE will automatically run analyses on your behalf.

Run Limits

  • Compare metrics between any two runs
  • Identify which metrics improved or declined
  • Correlate changes with your optimization efforts

Run Snapshots

Every run creates a complete snapshot of your metrics. These snapshots power the evolution view — flip any dashboard card to see how that metric has changed across all your runs.
